 Kenn R. Allen is the Managing Director of RIA Holdings, LLC. and a recognized innovator and disruptor within the insurance industry. He is actively focused on applying operating metrics, accountability, and performance-driven strategy to modernize the insurance agency model. One of his most recent departures from industry norms is the introduction of Book Equity, offering sales professionals an ownership opportunity tied directly to performance.

Mr. Allen brings decades of executive leadership experience across insurance, financial services, and global operations. His prior roles include Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Insurance Innovations by Allen (IIA), Corp., where he provided executive-level coaching and mentoring to C-suite leaders, and Founder and Publisher of Allen Books, LLC, a role he continues to hold.

From 2019 through 2022, Mr. Allen served as Senior Global Director at Fosun, Ltd., a multinational conglomerate with holdings in insurance, financial institutions, and related enterprises. He also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of AmeriTrust Group, Inc., a Fosun-owned organization formerly known as Meadowbrook Insurance Group. During his tenure, the company was reorganized to distribute products through five distinct presidential channels and achieved financial rating upgrades from both A.M. Best and KBRA. While serving as President and CEO, Mr. Allen also held board positions with Star, Williamsburg National, Century Security, and AmeriTrust insurance companies.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Allen served as Executive Vice President and President of Meadowbrook Insurance Agencies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Meadowbrook Insurance Group. His primary responsibility was the management of seven agency profit-and-loss centers, ultimately growing the organization into one of the largest and most profitable insurance agencies in the United States. During this period, he centralized commercial marketing operations, established benchmarking metrics to drive best-in-class performance, implemented P&L accountability, and structured producers as independent profit centers. He was also the first agency principal to extend producer equity as a means of perpetuating books of business. Mr. Allen held this role from July 1986 through November 2016.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Mr. Allen has held numerous industry and civic positions, including Past Director of the City of Southfield, Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Past President of Doubloon Reinsurance Corporation in Hamilton, Bermuda, and Past President of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Michigan East Chapter. He has also served as a Trustee of the Michigan Opera and as Chairman of Walnut Creek Country Club’s Insurance and Legal Committee for twelve years.

Mr. Allen was named one of the Top 500 Most Influential Business Leaders in Michigan by Detroit Business in 2018 and was inducted into the National Hall of Fame by Insurance Business America the same year.
